The Northern District celebrates the 12th edition of Verano Abierto with free activities to promote coexistence in its seven neighborhoods
25 June
The Northern Municipal Community Social Services Center has launched a new edition of Verano Abierto, an initiative promoted by the Department of Social Policy, Family, Disability, and Seniors of the Granada City Council in collaboration with the ERACIS+ program. This community program will bring educational, sports, cultural, and coexistence activities to the seven neighborhoods of the Northern District between June 23 and August 6.
The initiative features a 10,000-euro investment, co-financed by the European Union and the Regional Government of Andalusia through the ERACIS+ (Andalusia’s Regional Strategy for Social Cohesion and Inclusion), along with the financial collaboration of the ”la Caixa” Foundation ICI Program. The funds will be allocated to hiring community outreach staff, as well as purchasing the materials and resources necessary to carry out the scheduled activities.
