The International Music and Dance Festival enlivens Granada, a city of music and dance, on its path to becoming European Capital of Culture 2031

The International Music and Dance Festival of Granada has joined the city’s bid to become the European Capital of Culture 2031, bringing its historical prestige and international reputation to this great collective goal.
The Mayor of Granada, Marifrán Carazo, pointed out that: “The International Music and Dance Festival of Granada is one of the greatest cultural symbols of our city and of Andalusia. Its support for the 2031 bid reinforces our identity and shows Europe that we are a capital of music, art and contemporary creativity.”
The Director of the Festival, Paolo Pinamonti, noted that: “The Festival was founded in 1952 with a clear international vocation, and over the past seven decades it has firmly established itself as a global artistic benchmark. Our endorsement of the bid reaffirms our commitment to Granada and to sharing our city’s exceptional culture with the whole of Europe in 2031.”
