On 9 and 10 June, Granada hosted the Second Andalusia Footprint Meeting: Culture, Heritage, City and Territory, an event jointly promoted by the University of Granada (UGR) and the Andalusian Institute of Public Administration (IAAP) , which placed Granada 2031, European Capital of Culture, as an axis of reflection, collaborative work and public innovation.

The meeting brought together Andalusian public universities, public administrations, cultural institutions, social agents, professionals, companies from the creative and tourist fabric and citizens around a shared objective: to generate useful proposals, connected with the real challenges of the territory and aligned with the horizon of Granada 2031. Over the course of two days, the city has consolidated itself as a space for dialogue and co-creation in which culture, heritage, the city and the territory have been approached as levers for the future of Andalusia.

The opening session, held on June 9 at the Carmen de los Mártires estate, featured the participation of the Rector of the University of Granada, Pedro Mercado; the Mayor of Granada, Marifrán Carazo; the Vice-Rector for Social Innovation, Employability, and Entrepreneurship, Esteban Romero; the Delegate of the Regional Government of Andalusia in the Province of Granada, Antonio Granados; and the Territorial Delegate in Granada of the Ministry of Justice, Local Administration, and Public Function of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Luis Recuerda, alongside municipal, provincial, and regional authorities. During this first session, the European Capital of Culture Bid Manager, Pilar Tassara, presented the 2031 European Capital of Culture Granada bid and highlighted the potential of using the Impronta model as an Andalusian laboratory for cultural and territorial innovation, capable of articulating university knowledge, public policies, citizen participation, and sustainable development.
