Granada has taken a historic step towards becoming the European Capital of Culture in 2031 by formally securing the support of Madison Cox, President of the Jardin Majorelle – Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) Foundation. The declaration of support was signed at an official ceremony during which the Mayor of Granada, Marifrán Carazo, welcomed Mr. Cox. This significant endorsement further strengthens the international support for Granada’s bid.

Linked to the iconic Jardin Majorelle botanical garden in Marrakech, as well as the brand’s museum in the Moroccan city, the Jardin Majorelle – Yves Saint Laurent Foundation is a global leader in the preservation of art, fashion and culture. Mr. Cox expressed deep admiration for Granada’s cultural offerings and artistic excellence, particularly its music, art and historical heritage.
