This morning, Juan Ramón Ferreira, Granada City Councillor for Culture, presented this year’s flamenco heritage series, which will be held at “La Chumbera” Municipal Theatre from October to December 2025. Now a key fixture for showcasing local flamenco, the series will feature over 100 performers from Granada and will include 12 shows, six of which are premieres.

The Councillor pointed out that: “The governing team of Marifrán Carazo [the Mayor of Granada] is firmly committed to culture as a driver of development, identity, and the international reputation of our city. Programmes such as this flamenco heritage series are essential for consolidating Granada’s leading role in the cultural and artistic spheres, while also serving as an example of how our bid to become the European Capital of Culture 2031 emphasises the importance of local tradition and creativity.”
