Granada hosts the international presentation of the FOLIO Literary Festival, Portugal's largest literary event

The “Cuarto Real de Santo Domingo” heritage museum in Granada recently hosted the presentation of the FOLIO International Literary Festival, Portugal’s most important literary event, which will take place in October in the town of Óbidos. The event was attended by the Mayor of Granada, Marifrán Carazo; the Mayor of Óbidos, Filipe Daniel; and Óbidos City Councillor for Culture, Margarida Reis. The presentation was chaired by Juan Ramón Ferreira, Granada City Councillor for Culture.
The event marks a significant milestone in the ongoing cultural cooperation between the two cities, both of which are recognised by UNESCO as Creative Cities of Literature. It also reinforces Granada’s commitment to promoting its literary scene on the international stage as part of its bid to become European Capital of Culture in 2031.
