Granada has taken a decisive step in the development of its Granada 2031 bid, a project with which the city aspires to become the European Capital of Culture in that year, following the signing of the strategic vision spearheaded by the José Manuel Lara Foundation, one of Spain’s leading institutions in the field of cultural and educational promotion.
The agreement, signed by Pablo Morillo, Director General of the José Manuel Lara Foundation, represents significant backing for Granada’s cultural profile and its consolidation as a leading city of literature. This
initiative is particularly important as it takes place during the Granada Book Fair, one of the city’s most iconic cultural events, which reinforces the collective commitment to reading and intellectual engagement.
