The Granada City Council has shown its support for the cultural and solidarity project El Sueño de Nirina, an innovative opera driven by the Agua de Coco Foundation and Opera Sin Fronteras that will arrive at the Isabel la Católica Theatre on October 1 and 2 as part of its 2026 national tour.

The official launch was attended by Amparo Arrabal, Councillor for Social Policy, Family, Disability and the Elderly at Granada City Council; José Luis Guirao, President of the Agua de Coco Foundation; and Sandra Fernández, the organisation’s manager.

During the event, Arrabal underlined the City Council’s commitment to initiatives “that use culture as a real tool for social transformation, inclusion and hope for the most vulnerable children and youth.” The mayor also highlighted the solidarity nature of this production, the proceeds of which will go entirely to the Socio-educational and Musical School of Tulear, in Madagascar, a project promoted by the Agua de Coco Foundation that every year offers artistic training and educational support to about 600 young people.
