Granada City Council has achieved a new milestone in the twinning process with Remscheid following a ceremony held in the German city on Thursday. The event was attended by the Mayor of Granada, Marifrán Carazo, as well as city councillor and Spanish People’s Party (PP) spokesperson Jorge Saavedra and Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE) councillor Ana Muñoz.

The institutional trip is the latest step in a process that began in May when a German delegation visited Granada to set the twinning process in motion and express its support for Granada’s bid to become European Capital of Culture in 2031 by officially backing the project.
