Granada adds the Società Dante Alighieri to its bid for European Capital of Culture 2031, strengthening its international profile

Granada City Council has incorporated the Società Dante Alighieri of Granada, the city’s official centre for Italian language and culture, into Granada’s bid for European Capital of Culture 2031, thereby gaining fresh support linked to the European cultural sphere.
The incorporation of this centre is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the European dimension of its bid, by forging lasting cultural partnerships and connecting Granada with international networks. The Società Dante Alighieri of Granada is the official centre of Italian language and culture in the city and is part of an international network founded in Rome in 1889 and present in numerous countries. Its work focuses on promoting the Italian language and Italian culture through extensive educational activities and the development of cultural and literary projects.
