The Granada City Council continues to progress in developing the 2031 European Capital of Culture Granada bid with the launch of a cultural action program across the districts, which will bring the objectives and values of the European project closer to all the capital’s neighborhoods, giving an essential role to local residents.

As a first step in its development, a working meeting took place last Tuesday, featuring the participation of representatives from the city’s different districts and neighborhood associations. This meeting allowed for a detailed presentation of the initiative and opened a space for dialogue, enabling each territory to actively contribute to defining the activities and proposals that best respond to the needs, unique traits, and potential of each neighborhood.

During the meeting, attendees learned about the program’s main lines of action, promoted by the Youth and Citizen Participation Department and the 2031 European Capital of Culture Granada Consortium, as well as the planned collaboration methods to ensure that citizens participate from the very beginning in the design and development of cultural actions.
