Held in Granada on 9 and 10 June

On 9 and 10 June, Granada will host the 2nd Impronta Andalucía Conference: Culture, Heritage, City and Region, an event designed to encourage collective reflection and design on how culture, heritage, the city and the region can contribute to the future of Andalusia. This activity is promoted by the University of Granada and the Junta de Andalucía, through the IAAP.

The meeting will bring together universities, public administrations, cultural institutions, social agents, professionals, and citizens around a shared objective: to generate useful proposals, connected with the real challenges of the territory and aligned with the Granada 2031 European Capital of Culture horizon.

Welcome address by the University of Granada, the Junta de Andalucía, and the Granada City Council.

7:00 pm: Granada 2031
Presentation of the Granada 2031 European Capital of Culture bid as an Andalusian laboratory for cultural and territorial innovation.

19:30 h: Panel Discussion
Table on culture, heritage, city and territory.

During the session, work will take place across different co-creation labs on topics such as cultural and creative industries, heritage, sustainability, education, cultural impact assessment, public innovation, citizen participation, and the connection between urban and rural areas.

Impronta Andalucía is an initiative promoted by the Junta de Andalucía, through the Andalusian Institute of Public Administration, and the University of Granada. It is designed as a platform for collaboration between Andalusia’s public universities and the regional government, with the aim of linking academic knowledge, public innovation and regional challenges. This is an initiative within the framework of the FECYT Public Innovation call.

This second meeting is intended to serve as a forum for collaboration between universities, public authorities, cultural institutions, social partners, professionals and the general public, with the aim of generating useful proposals for Andalusia through public innovation, academic expertise and institutional collaboration.

On this occasion, the meeting also acquires special relevance as it is held in Granada and within the framework of support for the Granada 2031 European Capital of Culture bid. Therefore, it will address how culture, heritage, city and territory can contribute to the future of Andalusia, Spain and Europe as a whole, as well as the strengthening of public policies connected to the real challenges of the territory.

Among the main topics to be addressed are: culture and heritage; rural development and territorial cohesion; education and citizenship; cultural and sustainable tourism; entrepreneurship and employment in the cultural and creative sectors; public innovation and citizen participation; connection between urban and rural areas; and evaluation of cultural and territorial impact.
